You will be part of the development of cutting-edge operations strategies that ensure the continuous delivery, security, and performance of enterprise Data Platforms. This role requires a blend of hands-on technical expertise, critical thinking, innovation and excellence within IT operations and will be working onsite with customers and your team 2-3 days per week.

What You’ll Do

  • Support Snowflake, Databricks and enterprise data platforms, including integration and management of third‑party tooling and data sources
  • Infrastructure automation & optimisation for data workloads (infrastructure‑as‑code, cost optimisation, autoscaling environment standardisation)
  • CI/CD pipeline development for data (data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, schema migrations, data quality checks, automated testing and deployment)
  • Monitoring & incident response for data platforms (data pipeline health, SLAs, data quality, lineage), including request, change and release management and contributing to PIR/RCA documentation and customer presentations
  • Implement data security best practices (data access control, encryption, compliance, data masking, secure data sharing)
  • Performance monitoring of data pipelines and platforms (query optimisation, partitioning, indexing, caching, resource tuning, scaling strategies) and other continual improvement initiatives
  • Maintaining ITSM outcomes for data services (queue hygiene, SLAs, escalation management)

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in data engineering, distributed systems, CI/CD, automation and major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), with strong operational experience and preferably advanced certifications
  • Clear written and verbal communication with technical and non‑technical stakeholders
  • Strong problem‑solving skills for complex data, performance and production issues
  • Effective stakeholder management and prioritisation across competing demands
  • Continuous improvement mind‑set for processes, pipelines and tooling
  • Strong analytical skills (data modelling, root cause analysis, capacity planning, interpreting metrics)
  • Collaborative working style with cross‑functional teams (data, engineering, operations)
