Role: Slalom Flex (Project Based) – Senior Change Manager
Location: Portland, OR
*Please note: This role is not eligible for remote work. Employees must live within a commutable distance of the Portland area and have the ability to be onsite 2 days per week*

We are seeking an experienced Senior Change Manager to lead organizational change efforts for complex business and technology transformations. This consultant will partner closely with client executives, business leaders, employees, and delivery teams to prepare organizations for change, drive stakeholder engagement, and accelerate adoption of new processes, technologies, and ways of working.
The ideal candidate brings a strong consulting background, deep expertise in organizational change management, and the ability to translate transformation objectives into practical adoption strategies. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to client leadership while leading change activities from strategy through implementation and sustainment.
What You'll Do
Change Strategy & Planning
• Lead the change management workstream for large-scale transformation initiatives.
• Develop and manage comprehensive change management plans, deliverables, timelines, risks, and dependencies.
• Define change strategies that align with business objectives and support successful implementation outcomes.
• Identify organizational impacts and develop approaches that prepare stakeholders for change.
Stakeholder Engagement & Readiness
• Conduct stakeholder assessments to identify influence, engagement needs, risks, and opportunities.
• Perform organizational change impact analyses across people, processes, roles, and technology.
• Assess organizational readiness and develop action plans to address adoption barriers.
• Facilitate executive interviews, leadership discussions, readiness reviews, and stakeholder workshops.
• Build trusted relationships with sponsors, leaders, and key stakeholders throughout the engagement.
Communications & Employee Engagement
• Develop and execute strategic communications plans that build awareness, understanding, and commitment.
• Create targeted messaging for executive, leadership, manager, and employee audiences.
• Design engagement activities that encourage participation and foster support for change initiatives.
• Monitor stakeholder sentiment and identify opportunities to improve communication effectiveness.
Training & Adoption
• Partner with learning and development teams to assess training needs and support training strategies.
• Develop adoption and reinforcement plans that drive sustained behavior change.
• Support leadership alignment around desired future-state behaviors and organizational outcomes.
• Track user adoption metrics and recommend interventions to improve engagement and utilization.
Resistance Management & Reinforcement
• Identify sources of resistance and develop tailored mitigation strategies.
• Coach sponsors, people leaders, and change champions on effective change leadership practices.
• Monitor change risks and recommend corrective actions to improve adoption and business readiness.
• Support reinforcement activities that sustain long-term organizational outcomes following implementation.
Consulting Responsibilities
• Serve as a trusted advisor to client executives, sponsors, project teams, and business leaders.
• Facilitate workshops, strategy sessions, leadership meetings, and decision-making discussions.
• Partner with business, technology, operations, communications, and learning teams to deliver integrated change solutions.
• Provide proactive recommendations to address organizational challenges and adoption risks.
• Mentor and support junior consultants and change practitioners.
• Produce high-quality client deliverables, presentations, assessments, communications, and executive materials.
• Contribute to overall program success through strong collaboration, problem-solving, and client relationship management.
• 5+ years of professional experience in organizational change management, business transformation, consulting, or related disciplines.
• Proven experience independently leading change management activities for complex business or technology implementations.
• Demonstrated expertise conducting stakeholder analyses, change impact assessments, and readiness evaluations.
• Experience developing and executing communications, engagement, training, and adoption strategies.
• Strong facilitation skills with experience leading executive interviews, workshops, and leadership discussions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience creating executive-level presentations and communications.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities across all organizational levels.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• Prosci Change Management Certification.
• Experience supporting digital transformation, ERP, cloud, data, technology, or operating model change initiatives.
• Consulting experience within utilities, energy, or other highly regulated industries.
• Experience working within large, complex organizations undergoing enterprise transformation.
• Familiarity with change measurement, adoption metrics, and organizational effectiveness methodologies.

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the hourly pay range is $70 to $78/HR depending on experience. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The hourly pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
