We surround our people with interesting problems, collaborative teammates, and opportunities to make lasting impact.
Are you innately curious? Do you have a bias for action? Do you value connection and authenticity at work? We’d love to hear from you. We’re looking for collaborative, entrepreneurial teammates who are passionate about industry transformation and eager to help shape the future for our clients.
Our Global Industry team supports clients across Retail, Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Travel, Hospitality, Dining, and Restaurants. This team helps organizations navigate transformation by combining deep industry knowledge, practical operational insight, and consulting rigor. We partner with clients to solve high-value business problems, accelerate innovation, and drive meaningful outcomes across functions and customer experiences.
This is a unique opportunity to join a growing team and play a critical role in building out our delivery capability. We are intentionally investing in senior individual contributors with strong industry credibility who can advise clients, support internal teams, and help scale the practice.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients across Retail, CPG, travel, hospitality, dining, and restaurant sectors, helping them navigate business transformation and complex operating challenges.
- Bring a strong point of view on industry trends, business priorities, and transformation opportunities, grounded in real-world operational and consulting experience.
- Partner with Slalom and client teams to assess current business challenges, identify opportunities, and design practical, high-impact solutions.
- Lead and contribute to strategic and operational engagements that span functions such as customer, operations, supply chain, merchandising, digital, and business transformation.
- Use interviews, workshops, and data-driven insights to diagnose root issues, align stakeholders, and accelerate decision-making.
- Translate industry knowledge into differentiated advisory support for both internal teams and external clients.
- Build credibility quickly with senior client stakeholders by connecting strategy to execution and demonstrating an understanding of how functions work together across the enterprise.
- Mentor team members and contribute to the growth of the Global Industry practice through knowledge sharing, thought partnership, and delivery excellence.
- Help strengthen the team’s delivery layer by bringing practical experience, strong consulting capability, and a collaborative, builder mindset.
What You’ll Bring
- Significant experience in Retail, CPG, and/or QSR / fast casual dining, with a deep understanding of industry dynamics, operating models, and transformation priorities.
- A combination of consulting experience and direct industry experience; ideal candidates bring strength in both environments.
- Ability to understand and articulate how different business functions interact across an organization and how change in one area impacts the broader business.
- Hands-on operational experience is highly valued, including experience in areas such as field operations, store operations, supply chain, or other core business functions.
- Proven ability to advise senior leaders and client teams by combining strategic thinking with practical, real-world insight.
- Strong consulting toolkit, including problem solving, stakeholder facilitation, structured communication, and executive-ready presentation skills.
- Experience leading cross-functional transformation work and helping organizations move from strategy to execution.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a growing team environment and help shape evolving capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills and a track record of building trusted relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus.
- Ability to travel based on client needs and personal preferences.
