The Role: Senior Principal, Transformation - Operational Improvement

A senior delivery and leadership role within Slalom's STCX capability, focused on process re-engineering and automation. You'll lead complex transformation programs as Engagement Lead, manage executive stakeholder relationships, and contribute to revenue growth. This role includes people leadership (initially managing a team of two, with growth expected).

What you'll do

• Lead end-to-end delivery of transformation projects with accountability for outcomes, quality, and client satisfaction
• Drive process re-engineering using value-stream mapping, future-state design, and pragmatic lean/six sigma to deliver measurable results
• Design and deliver AI and automation solutions from assessment to production—RPA, intelligent document processing, GenAI workflows, and AI agents
• Build quantified automation roadmaps with ROI discipline, value sizing, and benefits tracking
• Manage executive stakeholders independently, facilitating workshops and maintaining trusted client relationships
• Lead operational improvement programs across shared services, finance optimisation, case management, and contact-centre transformation
• Support business development activities, contributing to account growth and net new revenue
• Manage and develop your team, providing coaching and building capability within the practice

What you'll bring

Essential:

• 10+ years in operational improvement or transformation, with consulting delivery leadership at senior manager/associate director level or above
• Deep process re-engineering expertise—value-stream mapping, future-state design, and lean/six sigma applied to real outcomes
• Proven AI and automation delivery experience, taking use cases from assessment through to production (not just pilots)
• Strong use-case prioritisation and ROI discipline—can build and defend quantified automation roadmaps to C-suite
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and holding senior client relationships on delivery

Advantageous:

• Hands-on process mining experience (Celonis, SAP Signavio)
• Exposure to agentic AI or AI orchestration
• Operating model design alongside process work
• Business development contribution and account growth experience
• Industry depth in financial services, government, healthcare, energy, or consumer goods
