About Us
In 2023 Slalom opened their first New Zealand office in Auckland, as part of our expansion into the Asia-Pacific region. Three years later, we have over 80 professionals who, in collaboration with our alliance partners, have built our brand in Aotearoa through delivering high value outcomes that serve the strategic, technological, business and transformational needs of our cross-sector customers. Backed by a global team of over 12,000 team members across 54 offices, Slalom blends local expertise with the backing of global knowledge.
About The Role
Sitting within our Transformation practice, the Business Transformation Analyst plays a pivotal role in helping our clients navigate complex organisational shifts, evaluate business problems, and deliver high-value outcomes.
In this role, you won’t just be gathering technical requirements, you’ll be bridging the gap between strategy, process, technology, and people. You'll work directly with client leadership, technical delivery teams, and end users to understand current challenges, articulate the future state, and design actionable change strategies that drive real adoption. If you thrive on solving complex organisational puzzles, navigating ambiguity, and ensuring that digital and operational transformations truly stick, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
- Elicit & Define Requirements: Conduct stakeholder interviews and facilitate interactive workshops to uncover root business needs, detail user requirements, and define clear business outcomes.
- Analyse & Design Solutions: Map current-state and future-state processes, data, and systems to analyse the impact of proposed business changes and optimise workflow efficiency.
- Drive Business Readiness & Change Strategy: Assess change impacts and develop tailored change management tactics, including communication plans, stakeholder engagement strategies, leadership alignment, and training programs.
- Bridge Delivery & Business Needs: Collaborate closely with technical delivery teams to write user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria (for Agile environments), ensuring the technical solution aligns with business goals.
- Measure Value & Benefits: Validate that delivered solutions fulfill business requirements and achieve stated benefits, using metrics and analytics tools to track success and adoption.
- Coach & Engage: Navigate stakeholder resistance with empathy, coach client teams through transitions, and support leaders in driving smooth adoption from current to future states.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven Analysis Toolkit: Strong experience in process mapping, requirements gathering, impact analysis, and backlog management (writing user stories and acceptance criteria).
- Change Management Focus: Demonstrated capability in designing and delivering change, communications, stakeholder engagement, and training initiatives.
- Consulting & Facilitation Skills: Exceptional communication and workshop facilitation skills, with a track record of building trust and alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Empathy & People-First Mindset: A strong understanding of human behavior and organizational dynamics, enabling you to navigate ambiguity and stakeholder resistance effectively.
- Outcome-Driven Perspective: Passion for enhancing user and employee experiences, accelerating progress, and ensuring transformations deliver tangible business value.
