Technical Project Manager

Location: Guadalajara

Who You’ll Work With

Our Delivery Leadership teams help organizations of all kinds redefine what’s possible, give shape to the future, and get there. We focus on high-impact projects, meeting our clients where they are to uncover business needs and deliver results. Our teams go beyond the expected to help clients move confidently through ambiguity and risk and drive more transformative outcomes.

Slalom Mexico is looking for self-driven and curious individuals that have a passion for helping organizations solve complex business and technology problems. We are seeking professionals, interested in developing skills in the consulting industry. This role will work with a team, focused on project management, process/ operations, and business analysis work.

We are looking for candidates who are interested in working in a hybrid environment (1-2 days a week in office) as we build the foundation and grow our team in Mexico. We offer a flexible working environment to balance the need to work independently, with days that may require in-person collaboration at our office.

What You’ll Do

  • Own Technical Delivery Execution: Plan, execute, and track technical projects or workstreams to meet agreed scope, timelines, and delivery outcomes.
  • Enable Hybrid Delivery Models: Support teams operating in Agile/Scrum and/or Waterfall environments, adapting delivery approach as needed.
  • Coordinate Across Technical Teams: Partner with Engineering, Product, and client stakeholders to align priorities and unblock delivery.
  • Manage Delivery Risks & Dependencies: Identify, track, and support mitigation of technical risks, issues, and cross‑team dependencies.
  • Support Requirements & Scope Alignment: Work with technical and product teams to understand requirements and support technical scope decisions.
  • Drive Delivery Transparency: Provide clear, consistent status updates and progress visibility to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Facilitate Delivery Cadence: Lead core delivery meetings and ceremonies to keep teams aligned and moving forward.
  • Support Change & Adaptation: Track change requests, assess delivery impact, and help teams adjust plans as needed.
  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes, collaboration, or tooling within technical environments.

What You’ll Bring

  • Technical Project Delivery Experience: Hands-on experience leading technology-driven projects by combining technical expertise (e.g., software architecture, system design) with standard project management skills (scope, schedule, budget, risk).
  • Hybrid Delivery Knowledge: Experience working within Agile/Scrum and/or Waterfall delivery models.
  • Project Planning & Tracking Skills: Ability to plan schedules, track progress, and manage dependencies across technical workstreams.
  • Risk & Issue Management Skills: Experience identifying and tracking delivery risks and issues in technical contexts.
  • CrossFunctional Collaboration Skills: Comfort working closely with Engineering, Product, and client teams.
  • Delivery Tool Proficiency: Working knowledge of Jira or similar delivery and work management tools.
  • Technical Acumen: Ability to understand technical requirements, constraints, and trade‑offs without owning solution design.
  • Financial Awareness: Exposure to basic budget tracking or delivery cost awareness.
  • SDLC Awareness: Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and how project management supports each phase.
  • Communication & Facilitation Skills: Ability to facilitate meetings and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Additional Experience (Nice-to-Have, Not Required)

  • Cloud Platform Familiarity: Familiar with AWS/Azure/GCP.
  • Integrations: Basic APIs/system knowledge.
  • DevOps Concepts: Aware of CI/CD, DevOps practices.
  • Platforms: Exposure to Salesforce/enterprise platforms.
  • AIEnabled Delivery Tools: Exposure to AI in delivery work.
  • Agile Certifications: Scrum, Agile, or similar certifications.

These skills are beneficial but not required. We value strong delivery fundamentals, technical curiosity, and a growth mindset.
