Our growing team works closely with US and Canadian clients on complex, industry-heavy products across sectors including financial services, energy, and beyond. We are open to hiring either the Consultant (Sr. Product Designer) or Senior Consultant (Lead Product Designer) level title. 

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Designer on the Customer Experience team, you'll independently turn product requirements into high-fidelity, production-ready design for complex products in industries like financial services, energy, and enterprise technology. You'll work within established product ecosystems and existing design systems, contributing improvements as you go, and bring real craft and polish to the screens, flows, and interactions that move products forward.

Day to day, you'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with developers, product and project managers, fellow designers, and on larger engagements, design leads, translating requirements into clear, development-ready design artifacts. You'll communicate your design decisions to the team and client stakeholders, share progress in working sessions, and ask the right questions to make sure what you're designing lines up with what the client actually needs.

You'll use modern prototyping and agentic design tools to communicate intent quickly and keep design, engineering, and product aligned around a single source of truth. You'll manage your own workload and velocity with minimal oversight, anticipate and flag delivery risks early, and operate independently when the path is clear, pulling in guidance from leads when the problem space is less defined.

As you grow, you'll start connecting your work to the client's near-term goals and contribute back to Slalom's design practice through reusable patterns and shared craft, strengthening both the engagement in front of you and the team around you. 

What You’ll Bring

Senior Designers at Slalom bring strong design craft, the independence to own their own scope of work, and the experience to deliver high-polish design within real-world product environments — not just clean-slate builds. You translate defined requirements into clear, high-fidelity design, collaborate closely across delivery teams, and hold a high-quality bar on everything you ship. To meet these expectations, you'll need:

• 4+ years of experience in product design or UX design — experience in professional services or consulting a plus
• A portfolio demonstrating strong design craft, attention to detail, and high-fidelity execution across multiple product types (web, native, and/or others)
• Proven ability to independently turn requirements into production-ready design with minimal oversight
• Experience working on complex, industry-heavy products (e.g., financial services, energy, enterprise platforms) not just consumer or marketing-focused work
• Comfort working within existing design systems and contributing to them, including in evolving or inconsistent system environments
• Fluency in modern product design software (Figma, Framer, etc.) and familiarity with agentic design and prototyping tools (Figma Make, Lovable, Claude Design, etc.)
• Professional English fluency, with the ability to communicate design decisions and progress clearly to US and Canadian client teams
